How Stem Cell Therapy Works
When a patient comes to us for stem cell therapy and has been confirmed to be a good candidate for the procedure, we start by collecting fat cells from a spot on the body that generally has some to spare. In the lab, we then extract and concentrate the stem cells to use in treatments. Once the stem cells are ready, we inject them into the affected area and let them go to work. Some of these steps will require placing the pet under general anesthesia, which means that they need to be healthy enough to undergo the procedure. We can help determine your pet’s eligibility for stem cell therapy in our Bay Area clinic.
